Tate Copeland – Tommy John Surgery

Last year I started feeling a lot of pain in my elbow when pitching. I thought nothing of it and just chalked it up to being overly sore after games.  After a few months of throwing and trying to get through it, I just couldn’t take it anymore. I wasn’t myself, my performance was down and I was in so much pain. I got an MRI and got the news that every baseball player dreads: a torn UCL. It never occurred to me that I would ever have to get Tommy John surgery. My athletic trainer at school immediately referred me to Dr Ahmad, and I can’t thank him enough for that recommendation…

A year after my surgery my arm is back and feels better than ever. I can’t thank Dr Ahmad, Frank  and Fiona enough for getting me back to playing form and fixing my arm. As part of my recovery, Frank referred me to go to physical therapy with Mike Reinold because he was closer to my home. I am so grateful for all of the care I received from everyone on this journey back to playing.
