NY Post: New York Post: Nathan Eovaldi’s Balky Elbow Brings Pitching Staff Shakeup
BOSTON — Nathan Eovaldi will get a second opinion on his right elbow after being examined by Yankees physician Chris Ahmad and undergoing a dye contrast MRI exam Thursday.
That doesn’t bode well for any pitcher, let alone one who missed the final month of last season with elbow inflammation and underwent Tommy John surgery eight years ago while still in high school.
“I’m concerned,” manager Joe Girardi said a day after Eovaldi was forced out of the game after just one inning.
